NIGHTSKY , DEATH AWAITS .

HELSINKI , FINLAND . 1977 .a healthy baby boy . a mother cradles the small creature to her bosom with a smile plastered over her face . the father is nowhere to be seen . the boy is named mikko .a baby girl comes four years later .the girl’s flesh is soft . it tastes sweet . there’s a certain tanginess to it . it’s easy on the taste buds , in a way . & mikko’s done with her in under a few hours . the only thing remaining of little nina the small , brittle bones . she was barely three years old , & mikko’s seventh birthday was just around the corner .kirsi salminen wasn’t cut out to be a mother . that’s what her husband had said the day he’d slammed that door & never looked back .they all had shining golden hair . mikko’s long enough to reach his ankles . tangled , matted due to lack of brushing . he would snack of the ants littering the kitchen , the beetles around his mother’s garden . his sister liked latching onto kirsi’s breast until she was raw & bleeding . sometimes , mikko would ask for a sip , & would get a slap in return .the hunger was strong . culminating , gnawing at his insides . kirsi was not , & killed her son by cracking his skull with an iron skillet . he fell like a fly .mikko was buried near the raspberries . over his body , lilies were planted .it was seven days later when the boy knocked on his home’s door — awaiting his mother — covered in dirt , stomach full with worms , still gnawing at a few red berries . kirsi opened it with an unreadable expression .“ … i’ll ready you a bath . ”he nods , observing as she walks down the hallway , passing his sister’s room . it was now empty . the sound of running water commences . shuffles inside , sitting down at the small table in the kitchen , awaiting for the tub to be filled ..

OSLO , NORWAY . 1994 .mikko salminen is seventeen when he meets baldassare ólaffson . he’d never believed in god , until now . he’s tall . with long , black hair & piercing blue eyes .he’s convinced satan talks to him through music . that the secret to life is engraved in the cords of his precious guitar . & he likes the way mikko follows him around .kirsi thought it would be smart to move to norway after the disappearance of poor nina salminen . after a ten year old search , the small family decides to flee in search of a new start .mikko & kirsi — they become inseparable . his hair does not go unbrushed for a day , although arms appear to be awfully scarred . & if baldassare raises his voice a bit too much , he flinches .

their band is named hellheim — baldassare’s idea , of course . mikko wouldn’t dream of getting on his bad side . & everything about the young man was perfect to his eyes — even if his dear mother didn’t like when he hung out too late for practice .he was the vocalist . it appeared he was a bit too good with his vocal chords on stage — strange , considering he was awfully quiet .in the third week of school , he meets miele haugen . a member of the student’s committee & a talented ballerina . mikko is immediately smitten , much to baldassare’s disdain .hellheim becomes known for their theatrics — where the vocalist would slice up his body on stage , splashing the audience with his blood . sometimes , would even open up his stomach & throw his entrails all over the first few rows . the guitarist would also perform animal sacrifices on stage in the name of various satanic entities . hundreds of enthusiasts would attend the concerts in hopes of getting a glance of the amazing special effects . & no matter the amount of research that was made , the technicalities behind them remained unknown .the band undergoes a quite big rotation of bassists & drummers . some leaving it to never to be seen again . at the end of the day , it was always the founding members — mikko salminen & baldassare ólaffson .

1999the body of miele haugen is found wrapped in packing plastic in a manmade cave in the woods , devoid of eyeballs & any garments . the search for the young woman had began years back , in 1995 , after her disappearance a week after high school graduation . the body had been preserved with household items .hellheim’s first album , NEKROFILINEN , sold over a hundred thousand copies all over europe .

it was originally released in 1994 , recorded by the founding band members & sold during their shows . after they were signed by their record company a year later , it was professionally reissued.the founding members are rumored to have a romantic affair , after pictures of them caught in a compromising situation get released . baldassare , the band’s guitarist , denies the rumors .he is found guilty as the murderer of miele haugen , arrested in his own home , were an extensive collection of human bones was found . the collection consisted of skulls , femurs , entire ribcages . in jars , human organs were preserved , including some of miele’s . he gets killed in prison .mikko salminen is nowhere to be found . kirsi salminen dies of a stroke .fans around the world are shocked by the news . other’s believe it’s merely a publicity stunt for a new upcoming album . others worship them & think of them as gods.
